Day 2: Nazareth / Cana / Sea of Galilee / Boat Ride
After breakfast, we drive to Nazareth where we visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Old Synagogue. We continue to Nazareth Village, which brings to life a farm and Galilean village. We continue to Tiberias and end the day with a boat trip across the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 3: Mount Beatitudes / Capernaum
After breakfast we drive to the Mount of Beatitudes which commemorates our Lord’s Sermon on the Mount. Then we drive to Capernaum “the home town of Jesus” where he carried out the major part of his ministry and messianic work and see the excavations and St. Peter’s Church. We continue to Tabgha, the site where the Lord fed the 5,000 with five loaves and two fish. Here we will have a service on the lakeside. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 4: Jordan Valley / Qasr El Yahud / Jericho / Shechem / Jerusalem
After breakfast we drive through the Jordan valley to the Baptismal Site at Qasr El Yahud where there will be the opportunity to be baptised. Then we continue to Jericho where we view the ancient city of Jericho and we take the chair lift to the Mount of Temptation. We drive through the Patriarchs Road to Shechem and Jacob’s Well. After returning from Mesopotamia Jacob bought a plot of land for “a hundred pieces of silver” where he pitched his tent and dug a deep well. Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman here. We continue to Jerusalem passing by the Inn of The Good Samaritan and to the top of the Mount of Olives where we admire the spectacular views of the walled Old City. After an explanation of the view we drive to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Mt. of Olives / Mt. Zion / Bethlehem / Shepherds’ Field
