I am delighted to invite you to prayerfully consider joining this trip to Israel and Jordan. We welcome people from ALL Christian denominations.

We will learn and experience the Bible, learn about the history of the holy land, soak up the sunshine and enjoy great fellowship. There will be time to worship, pray, reflect and relax.

Day 1 - Flight from London to Tel Aviv
On arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, we’ll be met by a tour representative who will assist us with our luggage, escort us through customs and introduce us to our guide and vehicle with driver;
We’ll continue to our hotel in Netanya/Tiberias.
 
Day 2 - Caesarea – Mount Carmel – Nazareth
Caesarea – built by Herod the Great and once the headquarters of Roman rule & visit the Crusader fortress;
Mount Carmel - site of the encounter between Elijah & the prophets of Baal.
Mount Tabor where the Lord was Transfigured and at which we will ascend by Taxis;
Cana (where Jesus turned water into wine);
Nazareth, the childhood hometown of Jesus, visiting the Church of the Annunciation;
Nazareth Village to experience village life similar to the Nazareth where Jesus grew up;
Mount of the Precipice;
Megiddo - the Biblical location for Armageddon and then walk through the tunnel to meet the coach; 
Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
 
Day 3 - North Israel & Around Galilee
Nof Ginosaur to see the ‘Jesus boat’;
Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee;
Dan - where the children of Israel fell to the depths of alternative sacrifice;
Caesarea Philippi -  the site of Peter’s Confession and pagan worship;
Capernaum – the adopted  home town of Jesus - where we’ll see the remains of Peter’s house where Jesus based his adult ministry;
Migdal (the home of Mary Magdalene, with a synagogue from the time of Jesus);
We enjoy a St Peter’s fish lunch;
Kursi (the land of the Gerasenes) - where Jesus healed the demon-possessed man;
Tabgha - the traditional site of Jesus’ miracle of feeding the 5000 & see where the risen Jesus appeared to Peter on the seashore;
Mount of Beatitudes - where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount - we celebrate Holy Communion here;
Church of St Peter’s Primacy.
Dinner & overnight in Tiberias.
 
Day 4 – Yardinet - Beit She’an - Shechem – Jericho, Bethany 
Baptismal site at Yardinet where there will be opportunity to be baptised in the River Jordan
Shechem - where Abraham build an altar to God, and Jacob’s well where Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman;
We travel to visit Beit She’an - the extensive ruins of the Roman city where the Philistines once displayed the slain bodies of King Saul and his sons.
Brief visit to Baptismal site near Jericho.
Jericho – the oldest inhabited city in the world – & ascend by cable car the Mount of Temptation;
Pause at Zaccheous Tree
Bethany - visit the hometown and traditional tomb of Lazarus; 
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
 
Day 5 - Jerusalem - Western Wall - Hezekiah’s Tunnel - Bethlehem
Mount of Olives - visit the Pater Noster, and walk down the Palm Sunday route to Dominus Flevit, the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane.
Western Wall and the Western Wall Excavations and the Western Wall tunnels;
The Temple Institute. City of David;
Walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel
Pool of Siloam and a recently discovered paved street from the Pool to the Temple;
Mount Zion to visit Dominus Abbey, the Upper Room also (the Cenacle) - commemorating the Last Supper.
St Peter in Gallicantu.
Church of the Nativity/Grotto of Nativity - Jesus’s birthplace; Visit the Church of St. Catherine, the Crusaders cloister, the Chapel of St Jerome, the Grotto of the Holy Innocents
Shepherds Field – Have Holy Communion
Dinner and overnight at our Hotel in Jerusalem.
 
Day 6 - Masada – Dead Sea – Qumran
Today we take a “day out” to visit the desert area south-east of Jerusalem.
Masada (another of Herod’s fortresses, and the famed site of Jewish resistance);
Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found;
Ein Gedi, scene of David’s pursuit by Saul.
Dead Sea - we have the opportunity to relax and “float” in the Dead Sea
Wadi Kelt - where we see St George’s Monastery across the valley
Ein Kerem - birth place of John the Baptist: Here we will visit the church of the visitation and the church of St John the Baptist;
Dinner and overnight at our Hotel in Jerusalem. 
 
Day 7 - Temple Mount – Pool of Bethesda – Western Wall – Old City – Holy Sepulchre – Garden Tomb – Hebron
The Temple Mount;
Pool of Bethesda - where Jesus healed  a crippled man;
Via Dolorosa - (Walk the way of the cross - through the Old City to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre)
Garden Tomb - where we will hold a Sunday service and share holy communion together;
Hebron - to visit the cave of the Patriarchs or the cave of Machpelah.
Overnight & farewell dinner - Our evening meal will be a shortened form of the Passover Seder, to help us understand what was happening at the Last Supper.
 
Day 8 – Israel Museum & Shrine of the Book - Emmaus - Herodium – Jaffa - Tel Aviv - London
Israel Museum & Shrine of the Book - where there’s a huge model of how Jerusalem looked in Jesus’ day & where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept. 
Herodium - the fortress of Herod that eventually housed his tomb.
We visit two churches in/around Emmaus where Jesus revealed Himself to the two disciples.
We drive on to Jaffa to visit 3 important sites in Jaffa;
Transfer to the airport for our return flight to London.
 or dinner overnight in Jerusalem for those taking the optional extension to Jordan.
 
Day 9 - Amman, Mt Nebo - Machaereus – Madaba Jordan 
We cross the Allenby Bridge 
We visit the baptismal site at Bethany Beyond the Jordan.
Mt. Nebo - the site of the tomb of Moses; 
We stop en-route to view the site of Machaereus - the place where Salome danced and where John the Baptist was beheaded. 
Madaba - to see the mosaic map; 
Dinner and overnight in Petra.
 
Day 10 - Petra
Full day in Petra
Dinner and overnight in Petra.
 
Day 11 Transfer to Allenby Bridge / Cross to Israel
Transfer to Amman and cross Allenby Bridge to Israel. 
Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for return flight to London Luton airport.

People of all ages are welcome, but, whatever your age, we must insist on a reasonable level of fitness. A number of sites involve rough walking.

Passports, Visas and Vaccinations
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport for travel to the relevant countries and that it is valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel. Latest entry requirements can be found here www.israelsafe.com. A visa is required for British Passport holders visiting Jordan, but not for Israel and no inoculations are required for travel but you may wish to consult your own doctor for advice concerning this. If you have any queries regarding the above, we will be happy to help.

Further Information and Paying The Balance
Further information will be sent to you regarding any action that may be required approximately 12 weeks before departure. A final invoice will also be sent at this time and the balance for the tour must be paid at least 10 weeks before departure.

Travel Information
Full travel information, including details of meeting points, flight times, accommodation and travel information, will be sent to you approximately 2 weeks before departure. Normally, tickets are not issued but are handed to you at the airport or departure point by our representative who will be there to ensure that you depart without a hitch and to deal with any last minute difficulties.

Travel Insurance

Gratuities
Our normal procedure is to deal with tips on a group basis and if these are included in the price the tour leader will distribute them to the guide, driver and hotels on your behalf. Individual tipping is not recommended unless the circumstances are exceptional.

Room Check In and Check Out Times
The standard international practice is to let rooms from midday to midday. However times do vary. Check-in times are usually between 2pm and 3pm, check-out times between 11am and 12 noon on the day of departure. Therefore, if you check-in immediately after a night flight this would normally count as one night’s accommodation. Similarly if your return flight is at night you will normally be required to vacate your room at 12 noon prior to leaving for the airport. Day rooms are subject to availability/cost and should be arranged locally with the accommodation management.
