Day 1 – Saturday
We depart from London Luton in the morning on our flight to Tel Aviv. On arrival we will be transferred to our hotel in Jerusalem.
Saturday Night visit to Ben Judah Street and a short bus trip around Jerusalem to the Knesset with a photo by the Menorah.
Day 2 – Sunday
This morning we attend the 9.30 am service at Christchurch. From there we will visit the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the crippled man. We then follow the traditional journey that Jesus took to His crucifixion, we will visit the Place of the Pavement and as there is so much to see in the Old City. The afternoon itinerary will be flexible with the option to visit either Bethlehem, the town of David, Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus the Messiah. We will see the Shepherds Fields and the Church of the Nativity. Options for return visitors Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum possibly using the Metro and Hezekiah’s Tunnel, the Tunnels behind the Western Wall - there will be a small fee for this special trip.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Optional: After dinner we can walk to the Old City where we take time to absorb the atmosphere of this unique place.
Day 3 – Monday
We begin our tour in the Judean Wilderness and follow the old pathways Jesus walked on His journeys from Jerusalem to Jericho.
We will visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Then we will travel to Masada, Herod’s hilltop fortress. From there, we will stop for lunch at En Gedi (at own expense) with a walk to David’s Spring for the fit to the lowest spot on earth where a float in the Dead Sea can be experienced. We recommend you wear beach shoes in the water to protect your feet.
Day 4 – Shrove Tuesday
We begin the day at the Garden Tomb where we share communion in the moving and beautiful setting. We drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view over the Old City of Jerusalem and walk down the Palm Sunday Road to visit Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. We continue descending until we reach the Garden of Gethsemane and consider the final hours spent by Jesus before the cross. This is a very powerful and moving experience. we continue down the Kidron Valley and up Mount Zion, retracing Jesus’ last 24 hours. Starting at the Upper Room we then go to the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, where Peter denied the Lord three times. Here we can see the original steps that Jesus climbed from the Lower City to the House of Caiaphas the Priest. We end the day at the Western (wailing) Wall.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 5 – Ash Wednesday
We leave for Galilee, stopping briefly to view the Judean countryside and allowing for photos before arriving in Jericho, one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. From there we drive through the Jordan Valley to Beit She’an and Gan Hashlosha where the National Park is full of history, and has beautiful lakes to swim in.
Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Ash Wednesday Service in the evening at the hotel.
Day 6 – Thursday
After breakfast, we take a boat trip across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum, the centre of Jesus’ ministry and visit the Synagogue and Simon Peter’s house. We continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount and the feeding of the 5,000. After lunch we drive to the chapel at Cana (where Jesus turned water into wine) and then to Nazareth, where we will visit the Basilica of the Annunciation.
Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 7 – Friday
We leave our hotel for the Baptismal Site on the River Jordan. We then continue to Megiddo for a visit. After that we will go to Mount Carmel with its panoramic views and striking statue of the prophet Elijah. Arabic lunch or Druze Pastries (own expense). We return to Kibbutz Lavi for a visit.
Dinner and overnight Kibbutz Lavi.
We hope to share in a proper Jewish Shabbat Meal at Lavi (extra cost).
Day 8 – Saturday
After an early breakfast we leave Tiberias and drive to the Mediterranean coast visiting Caesarea with its amphitheatre and viaduct. Then if time permits a short visit to Joppa. We enjoy a special, final celebration meal in Joppa before travelling on to the Airport for our return flight to London Luton.

Passports, Visas and Vaccinations
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport for travel to the relevant countries and that it is valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel. A visa is not required for British Passport holders visiting Israel. Latest entry requirements can be found here www.israelsafe.com. No inoculations are required for travel but you may wish to consult your own doctor for advice concerning this. If you have any queries regarding the above, we will be happy to help.

Further Information and Paying The Balance
Further information will be sent to you regarding any action that may be required approximately 12 weeks before departure. A final invoice will also be sent at this time and the balance for the tour must be paid at least 10 weeks before departure.
Travel Information
Full travel information, including details of meeting points, flight times, accommodation and travel information, will be sent to you approximately 2 weeks before departure. Normally, tickets are not issued but are handed to you at the airport or departure point by our representative who will be there to ensure that you depart without a hitch and to deal with any last minute difficulties.

Gratuities
Our normal procedure is to deal with tips on a group basis and if these are included in the price the tour leader will distribute them to the guide, driver and hotels on your behalf. Individual tipping is not recommended unless the circumstances are exceptional.
Room Check In and Check Out Times
The standard international practice is to let rooms from midday to midday. However times do vary. Check-in times are usually between 2pm and 3pm, check-out times between 11am and 12 noon on the day of departure. Therefore, if you check-in immediately after a night flight this would normally count as one night’s accommodation. Similarly if your return flight is at night you will normally be required to vacate your room at 12 noon prior to leaving for the airport. Day rooms are subject to availability/cost and should be arranged locally with the accommodation management.
