Visiting the Holy Land is a special experience, and an opportunity to make a significant impact upon our understanding and appreciation of the communities and cultures of the land where Jesus lived, and to further deepen our spiritual growth and discipleship.
The itinerary allows us to engage with and visit key biblical sites, and with further opportunities to enjoy the atmosphere and reflect on, pray and read the scriptures with renewed insight.
Judith and I hope you will join us for what we trust will be both a memorable holiday and a time of spiritual renewal.
Day 1 Monday
We leave London Luton on a direct morning flight to Tel Aviv, where we will be met on arrival for transfer to our hotel in Tiberias.

We finish the day celebrating communion on the hillside of the Mount of Beatitudes (the setting for the Sermon on the Mount). Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Today we drive to Caesarea Philippi and then continue to Mount Tabor (a possible site of the Transfiguration) and Nazareth - where we see churches associated with Mary’s Well, and Jesus’ reputed childhood home (the Church of the Annunciation). We visit Nazareth Village (depicting life in the time of Jesus).

We continue to our new hotel in Bethlehem for dinner and overnight.

There will be an optional visit to the Sound and Light Show at the Tower of David.
Our new hotel is close to the walls of the old city of Jerusalem.
Day 7 Sunday
In the morning, those who wish may share in (English-speaking) worship with local Christians in Jerusalem, either Christ Church (the oldest Anglican church in the Middle East, with a “Messianic” flavour) or East Jerusalem Baptist Church (an international church with Palestinian sympathies). We visit the Pool of Bethesda (where Jesus healed a crippled man) and the Garden Tomb (possible alternative location for Jesus’ death and resurrection) - Communion.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 8 Monday
We take a “day out” to visit the desert area south-east of Jerusalem.
We visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, possibly associated with John the Baptist; We ascend and descend Masada by cable car (another of Herod’s fortresses, and the famed site of Jewish resistance); and visit Ein Gedi where we have the opportunity to “float” in the Dead Sea.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Check-in times are usually between 2pm and 3pm, check-out times between 11am and 12 noon on the day of departure. Therefore, if you check-in immediately after a night flight this would normally count as one night’s accommodation. Day rooms are subject to availability/cost and should be arranged locally with the accommodation management.

“The trip to the Holy Land was an exciting time of learning, travelling and fellowship. The tour guide exceeded expectations and gave new insights in to the Word of God, which was made a lot clearer when we understood more of our Jewish roots. The Bible seems more relevant now and it’s becoming more important for me to watch Israel; the time clock of the world.”
