ALL ISRAEL- From Dan to Beersheba

Led by John & Liz Clevely

Thursday 19th - Thursday 26th April 2018

“Visiting Israel has been one of the most enriching experiences of our lives. We will travel through the biblical nation: From Dan to Beersheba, from South to North.

Driving through the wilderness, swimming in the Dead Sea, Exploring Jerusalem, walking around Jericho, sailing across Galilee etc etc. Since 1990 we have taken dozens of trips, inviting Christians from many cultures and nationalities to share in an exhilarating and faith building journey that will open the Bible in its own setting and introduce you to people and places where the turning points of history occurred.

Come and join us on this unique and invigorating tour that you will never forget.”

John and Liz Clevely

Thursday
Depart London Gatwick arrive Tel Aviv.
Dinner and overnight stay in Tel Aviv.

Friday
This morning starts at the Archaeological Park original location in the biblical town of Beersheba. The site offers a look into life in the times of the patriarchs. We will visit Abrahams well, where Abraham the Father of the Israelites dug a well as part of his covenant with King Abimelech. It was also the place where both Isaac and his son Jacob lived.
We will have lunch in Beersheba and then drive East through the biblical wilderness and spend a short time experiencing the peace and solitude of this amazing landscape. Then, travelling on to the city of Arad we see the fountain of tears, a sculpture display that parallels the suffering of Christ with the Jewish holocaust (very moving).
Overnight in Arad with a Shabbat meal.

Saturday
We take a day out to visit the desert area south east of Jerusalem. Masada, Herod’s hilltop fortress which we ascend and descend by cable car. Ein Gedi associated with Saul. Opportunity to bathe in the warm waters.
Visit Bethlehem to see the Church of the Nativity and Shepherds Field and to Jerusalem where we stand on the Mount of Olives for our view over the Old City.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

We start the day, we visit David’s City; walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel (constructed in the 8th century BCE to ensure a safe water supply); and see the recently uncovered Pool of Siloam, and a Herodian paved street from the Pool to the Temple. We move on to see the Western WalI, the Archaeological Garden Excavations (remains from the time of the second Temple), and the Western Wall tunnels.
Our time in Jerusalem will culminate with Communion at the Garden Tomb followed by dinner at our hotel.
