Day 1
Flight from Luton to Tel Aviv where we will be met and transferred by air- conditioned coach to Bethlehem.

Day 2
We visit the Shrine of the Book. Drive to the top of the Mount of Olives and walk down the Palm Sunday road to Dominus Flevit recalling Jesus weeping over Jerusalem, and also understand the significance of burial in a Jewish context. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, before walking through the Western Wall Tunnel (Kotel) and hear about the significance and location of the Temple. Coming out onto the Via Dolorosa, the coach picks us up below the Lion Gate (St. Stephen’s Gate). Drive to St Peter in Gallicantu which we will visit seeing “Caiaphas’ house” and the prison cell - and remembering Peter’s denial of Jesus. Lunch on Abraham’s Ridge overlooking the city. Drive to the Garden Tomb and share in the Lord’s Table together, then a brief time to rest and/or visit the shop.
Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.

Day 3
Go up onto the Temple Mount area and gain an understanding of the Biblical history of Moriah, and Araunah’s threshing floor and Jesus’ many visits to this incredible place. Walking tour of the Old City from the Pools of Bethesda – understanding John 5. Visit the Roman Pavement / Lithostratos, and Herod’s Cistern, also Ecce Homo and Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Jewish Quarter, see Nehemiah’s broad wall, and visit the Burnt House to gain an understanding of 1st Century life in Jerusalem. Lunch near the Cardo. Walk through the Dung Gate down to the City of David archaeological centre and see the 3D presentation of the history and visit the City of David. We visit the make our way down and down, noting the importance of recent archaeological discoveries, and come to Warren’s Shaft and the entrance to Hezekiah’s tunnel. Walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel (appropriately prepared with torches and water shoes) to the Pool of Siloam or a dry walk through an older Canaanite tunnel. Visit the Herodian Street.
Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.

Day 4
An early drive south through the Judean Hills past the Inn Of The Good Samaritan to Masada the historic site of Jewish last stand against the Romans. Then to Qumran for lunch before visiting the ruins to understand the biblical significance of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Visit En Gedi National Park to see the waterfalls, then onto the Dead Sea with an opportunity to float in the world’s lowest sea, 423m below sea level. We end the day at Bethabara, the site where Jesus was baptised.

Day 5
Early drive up through the Jordan Valley to visit the site of Old Testament Jericho and also Elisha’s spring. Drive through the Jordan Valley to Nazareth, passing through Cana and noting the significance of Jewish weddings and the importance in Christ’s ministry. Visit the Synagogue Church and the Biblical village. Drive to Megiddo through the plain of Armageddon, passing Mount Tabor, the traditional site of Jesus’ transfiguration.

Day 6
Today we will gain an overview of the northern towns and Jesus’ ministry within the ‘gospel triangle’ of Capernaum-Korazin-Bethsaida, also noting the significance of the Horns of Hattin. We begin with an early morning sail on the Sea of Galilee, observing the geography of the lake. Then visit Nof Ginossar to see the Galilee Boat, before visiting Capernaum to see the significance of the archaeological remains there and of particular interest the Via Maris milestone.
We will stop for lunch near the Lake.
Drive to the Mount of Beatitudes for a visit and to consider the importance of the Sermon on the Mount. Then drive to visit St Peter’s Primacy / Tabgha where the Lord Jesus met with his disciples by the shore, before driving to Korazin to see the ruins, noting the importance of the Mikveh.
Dinner and overnight in Tiberius.

Day 7
Drive to Tel Dan Nature Reserve, seeing Mount Hermon in the distance. We walk through the park to the site of the altar which gives background to the idolatry at Dan in Biblical history. en onto the ancient gate of Tel Dan where we will understand the structure and significance of the ‘Gate’ of the city in those days. Visit Caesarea Philippi (Banyas) gaining some background in Greek mythology, and the signficance of “Gates of Hell” and Peter’s confession of Jesus in context. We visit Tel Hazor, conquered by Joshua and later a main city of King Solomon, a UNESCO world heritage site and travel back from the other side of Lake Galilee to visit Kursi and recalling Jesus healing the demon-possessed man.
Dinner and overnight in Tiberius.

Day 8
Go up the Mount Carmel range and visit Muhraqah where we will understand Elijah and the significance of 1 Kings 18. See one of the finest views across the Jezreel plains. Visit Caesarea by the sea, the place of Paul’s departure, and see the ancient Roman amphitheatre and ancient aqueduct. We transfer to Ben Gurion airport Tel Aviv for our return flight to Luton.

Passports, Visas and Vaccinations
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport for travel to the relevant countries and that it is valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel. A visa is not required for British Passport holders visiting Israel. At the time this brochure went to press no vaccinations or inoculations are required for travel but you may wish to consult your own doctor for advice concerning this. Further Information And Paying The Balance
Further information will be sent to you regarding any action that may be required approximately 10 weeks before departure. A final invoice will also be sent at this time and the balance for the tour must be paid at least 8 weeks before departure.

Travel Information
Full travel information, including details of meeting points, flight times, accommodation and travel information, will be sent to you approximately 2 weeks before departure. Normally, tickets are not issued but are handed to you at the airport or departure point by our representative who will be there to ensure that you depart without a hitch and to deal with any last minute difficulties.

Travel Insurance

Gratuities
Our normal procedure is to deal with tips on a group basis and these are included in the price. The tour leader will distribute them to the guide, driver and hotels on your behalf. Individual tipping is not recommended unless the circumstances are exceptional.

Room Check In and Check Out Times
The standard international practice is to let rooms from midday to midday. However times do vary. Check-in times are usually between 2pm and 3pm, check-out times between 11am and 12 noon on the day of departure. Therefore, if you check-in immediately after a night flight this would normally count as one night’s accommodation. Similarly if your return flight is at night you will normally be required to vacate your room at 12 noon prior to leaving for the airport. Day rooms are subject to availability/cost and should be arranged locally with the accommodation management.
